to the Canadian Plains region.
Following
is a very brief summary of the publishing process of a successful manuscript.

- submission of completed manuscript
- initial assessment by CPRC’s Publications Coordinator to determine the manuscript’s compatibility with the CPRC mandate
- review of the manuscript by two members of the Publications Board
- assessment by an external reviewer who is an expert in the appropriate field of study
- author revisions based on reviewers’ evaluations
- board approval of the manuscript for publication
- offer of contract
- copy-editing, design and layout, in consultation with the author
- final proofs
- production
- marketing
